We have in my family for generations loved fried chicken. We were taught early to cut up our own chickens. I happen to be old enough to remember when chicken wasn't so readily available in the grocery stores. I remember my grandparents going outside and getting a chicken out of the yard to fix and cook. I am so glad they made us stay inside and not see at a young age exactly how they did that.
I thought I would include a post full of memories that I have done in the past. Sunday Memories and Fried ChickenHave lots of recipes in that post also.If you like good fried chicken and at a more reasonable price I suggest that you cut up your own. I really don't like the huge and assorted sizes that you find in the grocery in the cut up chicken packs.Over at Hibiscus House we have a weekly blog hop and always have lots of interesting posts from some pretty great bloggers! It is called Farmgirl Friday Blog Hop. To see this week's blog hop click HERE
That is where I found this wonderful blog Learning and Yearning....
Click HERE for How to Cup Up a Whole Chicken and enjoy Tammy's blog while there.
My family also loves the pulley bone so I sometimes cut that out of the breast section.
All you do is follow the center of the whole breast bone until you hit a dip then cut that pulley bone out...simple and so delicious
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
Dolly
